    Re: STB Simulation

In my experience Media portal is the most user unfriendly software for IPTV, just 'loading' channels takes a huge amount of effort. It is much better to use VLC followed by XBMC or Tano, BUT none of these software provide Set top box functionality like pause rewinding a live show,on schedule recording. Ive been looking all over the web & found only one Russian STB emulator in Android apps which does not allow you to load your own play list & therefore is useless for most IPTV subscribers. If anyone knows about a user friendly IPTV emulator for windows please let me know. Anone developing such a software will make huge profits as there is an ever expanding market of IPTV users waiting to use their PCs as STB with full functionality.
