    Re: GETNEXTV.COM

Why do you bad mouth others to say your company is better? When people in business talk like that you know they are not credible.

    Some points about your company:

-You might if any have the rights in Canada, not the US

-second, IPTV streaming of legitimate TV channels are not properly nailed down by the CRTC, so maybe next year you will be out of business, and people again will be left out in the cold :-)

    Re: GETNEXTV.COM

    Hi,

I  have the German Next TV since two weeks because I lost Oversea TV, which I had for 2 years and was very happy with it.

The German program NexTV delivers is very poor, the DW and Euro Channels  I can get for free over the computer - ZDF I can get missed programs over my laptop, so there is only RTL left and that stupid porno channel, what I don't like.

How does it look to get "Das Erste" - MDR - Sat 1 a nd others back. We had 10 German channels.

There is no need after 3 month to pay 29.95 p.m. for 1 or 2 channels.

Please can you comment on this. Will there be more German channels in the near future???????

    Thank you.

    Re: GETNEXTV.COM

Is this NEXTV thing for real, these guys have yet to update their website since it first launched- what kind of crap is that?!  If this was a legitimate company then it would have a current, up-to-update website.  Also, where are these other packages they are supposedly going to be offering like Greek, Hungarian, Korean, Filipino, etc.  Perhaps they have already launched but since the friggin' website is not updated how would one know?!  At the very least, they should update the info for the Russian and German packages which based on the comments on this board are already available to subscribers.  What is the point of having a site if you never update it??

'What makes NexTV different from the rest: we are not illegal we have secured all the necessary rights for all our channels…'

Could you provide some doc to back that up, maybe post a link to those agreements on your website;  it seems a bit static otherwise.  It would do a lot to boost business, might help potential customers choose between you and the more shady cats who are just ip repeating for profit the multiple a/v signals that they receive.  Customers want to know that as your service grows, those legitimate source providers also benefit from their money. Some people might not thing that logos, in and of themselves, are enough to denote a legitimate business agreement.  Perhaps if each logo actually linked to the relevant source provider, it would help to build confidence in your business model.

    Re: GETNEXTV.COM

So they have time to add new info to the site but cannot update the info already on their?? The German Package still lists only 3 channels when as others have posted on here they offer more than 3 channels?!  These guys need to seriously think about getting a tech guy because it looks like they have got no one now as their website has not been updated in ages  Quite funny actually, they are selling a service that is delivered via the Internet and yet they don't even have an accurate website up?!  I hope their service isn't as bad as their website is.. ha ha!

UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE AND GET INTO THE 21ST CENTURY!!!

Well it looks like now Nextv has timeshifted there programs

anyone else notice this??  I think i'll like the timeshifting becuase always trying to figue out what time a program was comming on was a bit of a hassel,, now i know that 2pm means 2pm my time and not have to get up a 6am to watch.

Re: GETNEXTV.COM "time shifting" german tv

    oh such a hassel figuring out the time diffrence for shows.....oh my god; there is nothing to figure out; it's so simple;    To ONLY have time shifted channels SUCKS;

I understand that people want this due to them working which is fine and great, but why not also have just 2 real live channels too. IT can't be more costly to continue 2 live streams besides the recording, storing and delay of all the other channels for hours according to your time zone.

It's just not fair since i can't find another provider in this country(US).

I asked nextv if it is possible to still have ONLY ARD and ZDF added as real livestream in addition them being time shifted and all other time shifted channels. Of course i was told "we can't help you".

It should be an option to have real live channels too, hell I will EVEN PAY MORE MONEY a month.

    I'm disabled at home all day and germantv is the only thing that helped me through the day; I loved the Soko's and other shows starting at noon time(eastern); now there will be nothing on during daytime hours and german prime time shows will be on during US prime time shows when i don't need germantv;  recording nextv shows is no option since the audio fails at least once everyday at some time and it takes me having to flip the channels to get audio to work again;  which would be a REAL hassel to constantly check while watching US prime time shows;

This couldn't come at a worse time now anyway where the EM 2008 Cup starts in 35 days on the ARD and ZDF channels;  WHAT NO MORE LIVE SOCCER  on ARD and ZDF?!?!?!?!

What am i supposed to avoid the Internet now for 8 hours until the soccer games are over so i don't see the results before seeing the games.  Real smart.

Re: GETNEXTV.COM "time shifting" german tv

I have had it with NEXTV!  Time shifting, with total disregard to whether or not people want this, is unacceptable.  NEXTV, in my opinion, is WORSE than OverseaTv ever was.  They operate in secrecy, they do not have a web site that informs people of problems, issues, or future changes.  Ever time you turn around, they give people the proverbial finger.  They think they are the only show in town and therefore trample on their customers providing minimum service and charging maximum rates.

NexTV can no longer advertise "LIVE GERMAN TV" without propagating yet another lie.  I have had a long list of acquaitnenances asking me how to subscribe to NexTV.  I have refused to provide the information until I felt confidence that NexTV was an honest and trustworthy IPTV provider.  They have proven to me that they don't give a @!^* about their customers.  I will NOT recommend NexTV to anyone.  Future subscribers:  BE AWARE!

For now, it is less grief for me to be without German TV than to allow any company to trample on me, the customer.  I am cancelling my subscription and encourage others to follow.  Hitting them in the pocket book is the only way they will listen to the concerns of the customer.

    Auf wiedersehen, NexTV.

    hallo servus,

I agree with you ever since overseatv it has been hell and now this with Nextv. You are right as a customer you just feel screwed by them. If they don't consider having TRUE LIVE GERMAN TV then I will cancel too. So eine Sche!$$e.

    Auf wiedersehen, Nextv

Re: GETNEXTV.COM "time shifting" german tv

Well I have to kindly disagree with the last few postings.  I love Nextv.  I love the fact that they time shift the programs, as I work and it's nice to get home and watch primetime shows versus some trashy US movie that ARD/ZDF plays at 3am local zeit.  I suppose it would be a good thing to have both options available.

I do agree about the website and lack of information. I would not have even known about the time shifting except for reading about it here.  They need to do better, their current notification process sucks!

Now on to the service itself.  I love it.  Do I have periodic problems?  Yes, but it is very rare and is usually short-lived.  Now compare that to Overseas TV, where for the last 4 months of the service it was totally useless!  I couldn't get more than 30-90 seconds of uninteruppted service.  I literally spent months with my cable providor, adding new network hardware and new ip box without any resolution.  I wasted a bunch of time and money trying to get the Oversea TV service to work.  With Nextv, I just plugged it in and it has worked ever since.  They have added new channels (they didn't have ADR/ZDF when first launched) and seemed to be responsive (but didn't reply to my actual emails) when there is a problem.  One other thing I love is the program guide (when it displays the proper lineup).  The channel selection is so much faster than O'SeaTV (remember - "buffering...." message?).  I also like the ProSieben channel. Yes I know it is available via DISH network, but I hae cable and didn't want to the big investment to move away from cable.  I spend my Sat and Sun mornings watching Bundesliga games (which in Germany are on pay-per-view).

I can totally understand everyone's frustration about Nextv, but IMHO it is heads-and-shoulders above the previous service, which was illegal and caused many of us to lost big bucks!  I personally lost $300 on a box that I can't even use.  Check out the rental options with Nextv.  No deposit, you can quit at any time.  That works for me.  No risk.  Versus the alternative - nothing, I will take Nextv everytime.

    Garry
