Re: NexTV was OverseaTV (German TV)

Ok so i Got my New Wave 300 box yesterday it came very fast (it was sent out on monday afternnon) THANX P!!!

So it's a nice box and it came well packaged with everthing i needed and with nice instructions. (when i got my box from overseatv 2 years ago it was packaged very poorly with no AV cables and no instructions)  so hook up was simple and start up went fine everything loaded very quickly and up came the menu screen with the channel preview screen (i like the preview screen)

going up and down through the channels is ok but could be improved to be quaicker.

As for picture quality it is Pretty GOOD at very least same as TVRossiya, some channels to me look even better.

One thing that is different is that overseatv/TVRossiya programs were time shifted these are not time shifted.  all in all right now i am very happy to have my russian tv back!! I now agian can watch my Russian Hockey!! tonight i am watching spartak vs Ufa  Go Spartak!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So thank you getnextv!!!!!!!! Thank you for giving me back all the great Russian programing i had plus alot more!!! To me getnextv is the best IPTV service out there!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    RedAce,
I notice the same thing regarding time difference.  Iam not sure if NEXTV can adjust it. It would be nice to see evening programming in the evening and not in the morning. Rather then time difference all look OK

    Ejoy your games

    Re: OverseaTV

I am having some problems getting the Menu for the German channels, maybe somebody can help me out here! I installed the set top box a few days ago and after the screen for NEXTv came up I read through their law/agreement and selected 'I accept'. After that the screen showed that it was not activated yet and that I should call customer service, so I did.

They said they activated it but all I am getting now, after switching it on and selecting Menu is '

'Locating Network' (blue bars running across) and 'Loading Application', after that all I get is a white screen on my TV. What do I need to do to get the Menu up for the German channels?

By the way, how and what German channels do they offer now (somebody wrote they only offer ZDF, RTL II etc. but not ARD, WDR etc. ?

    Thanks for all your help.

Re: NexTV was OverseaTV (German TV)

Those who are thinking of subscribing to the Russian package through NextTV may find this of interest.  I am thinking of switching to a different company due to the problem I mentioned earlier.  Between around 4:30 pm to 8:00 PM, the programs are unwatchable due to breakup and bufferring  I have an ultra fast cable modem (plus did not have the problem with Overseas TV )so am reasonably sure the problem is not on my end.  After repeated e-mails to NexTV, no one has ever responded, which tells me they don't care or are not working on a solution.  For me, this is prime time to watch TV so there really isn't much point in subscribing.  The rest of the day, reception is fine.  This is all PST time so East Coast time would be aond 7:30 PM to 11:00 PM.  I have had other e-mails telling me I am not the only one having this problem.   If this is helpful information, good- if not trash it.

Re: NexTV was OverseaTV (German TV)

Is anyone else's credit card still being charged by OverSea TV???  I just received a credit for the $29.95 they charged me back on December 6th (after I called Master Card and requested this be done after Oversea TV went off the deepend) and the same statement shows another debit for $29.95 posted on December 22nd by Oversea TV!!!  Now I have to call Master Card again and fight for another credit.  Does anyone know how I can stop this from happening again this month??  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Re: NexTV was OverseaTV (German TV)

alan G  i just wanna say i also have the russian package and i have not had any such issue at all.

only small thing i noticed is around 11pm est i seem to lose sound for about 5-10 mins then it comes back.  that is only thing i have noticed during the evening hours. otherwise it has been very reliable.

Best thing so far for me has been getnextv has been right on time.  what i mean is with overseatv a show would be scheduled to be shown at 6pm but many times it was way off the show would either be half over or wouldn't start for like an hour. With getnextv when it's scheduled to be on at a certin time it is on at that time.

    ThanX getnextv!!!

Re: NexTV was OverseaTV (German TV)

    http://www.deutschestv.com/index.php

ALL THE SAME GERMAN CHANNELS OFFERED BY OVERSEATV.

I WOULD BE CAUTIOUS SINCE VUTV ADVERTISED ALL THE SAME CHANNELS AS OVERSEATV AND THEN TOOK THEM OFF THERE WEB SITE.

    I'LL WAIT A FEW MONTHS

Re: NexTV was OverseaTV (German TV)

Yeah, right. Try to register and call their number. It says "Thanks for calling Broadshift" :) Meaning this is overseatv who forgot to take down that site. They still accept payments...

Re: NexTV was OverseaTV (German TV)

    marco1 , xxkhbxx

For now NexTV doesn't have any Italian channels line up.

We are thinking and researching the market for potential subscribers for now, but there is no time frame, for when is going to be launch. Sorry . . .

I hope I answered your question.

    Thank you !

P.S. Regarding the NexTV web site. We are curently working on the new and improved web site, which should be up and running in the begining of February.

    We appreciate everybodys patience !
