Hi, the compression bit rate depends on the kind of content to be encoded if we use VBR MPEG2 encoding. Actually in IPTV deployments compression bit rate is independent of content because CBR MPEG2 encoding is used in order to satisfy access network bandwidth requirements.   BR

Chanells usually consume different BW because the broadcaster uses a variable bit rate MPEG2 coding in order to assure constant quality. If you want a limit on the BW, channels should be re-coded in the Video Head-End using constant bit rate MPEG2.   Bye
