  • Re: NexTV was OverseaTV (German TV)

wkor, you are a reseller of the packages, whether it was Shift's or Nextv, in any case, you never developed anything and you don't understand much in this technology. When you refer to Sedar's paper, you have to know some details, Shift ''licensed'' these channels from a third company, that is never acquired the signal by themselves. They were ...

  • Re: NexTV was OverseaTV (German TV)

There is no way to acquire a license for broadcasting of RenTV, CTC, THT, Channel One Russia and few more. If you think you can get the license, try it. Hence, Nextv is no different than overseatv or any other gray market iptv provider.

Based on the channels list, I see many channels that cannot possibly be licensed. So Nextv are liars about their ''licensed legal'' channels. They are as gray as all the rest.

Well, I am not down to anyone, but I like the idea of IPTV and did my research in this market. I actually saw every company's solution and thus far and objectively connectv guys are above everyone, then KyLin, then ITVN, only then rest. What did you mean by not being able to watch tv and being on the internet at the same time? They offer you to ...

  • Re: OverseaTV

Morey Chaplick was the brain behind the whole ordeal that brought the company down. Not to single out anyone, look at their IPO document, publicly available at sedar.com (search for broadshift), and you will see other people behind it: David Fuss, Jonathan Cohen. David Fuss is well known as one of the biggest operators of gray satellite market in ...

If they promise all those channels, that means that they are entering a gray area as well, so how different from Shift are they? There are no miracles in iptv world, just keep it in mind.

  • Re: OverseaTV

All right, I actually went through all the posts and just want to clarify the picture for you all. Overseatv was doing fine until Morrey Chaplick joined them with idea of ripping a quick buck by going IPO, just the way JumpTV did. By the way, you can find many channels on jumptv.com. That's when they became shiftv and later broadshift. Morrey ...

  • Re: OverseaTV

Well, it is questionnable wether they will provide the same list of channels overseatv offered. Looks like getnextv is overly hadicapped in their offers since all the channels they offer are freely available in North America over satellite and cable. The whole idea of overseatv was to provide the channels that were not available anywhere in NOrth ...
