JOB SUMMARY:

The primary focus of this position is to engineer a solution for video distribution over the Internet using OTT (Over the Top) technology. The candidate needs to have an understanding of video compression technologies, IP terrestrial connectivity, conditional access and digital rights management system, and digital set-top boxes. The candidate needs to have an understanding of the interaction between the different components and how they work together for an end-to-end solution. The candidate will need to understand the business aspects and will need to coordinate with various departments for a successful implementation. Strong communication skills are a must.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect a full end-to-end solution for video delivery over the Internet
• Deal with vendors and/or systems integrators
• Provide formal presentations and progress reports to management
• Recommend technical architecture, and operational best practices
• Perform competitive analysis and develop competitive positioning
• Support marketing activities at tradeshows
• Work cross-functionally within the region and the company including – Marketing, Operations, Technical and Financial

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors degree in electrical or computer engineering
• Minimum ten years related experience in satellite and/or terrestrial transmission systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledgeable in major technical disciplines necessary for the end-to-end system design, analysis, integration, and testing of various digital video broadcast and delivery systems
• Deep understanding of MPEG-2, MPEG-4 H.264/AVC software compression and streaming video technologies
• Deep understanding of set-top boxes, middleware, digital rights management, encryption, and the integration into office back-end system.
• Familiarity with IP network switching and routing protocols
