I have just moved into a new house in the UK where we are not permitted to install a satelite dish.

Browsing the web I stumbled across an IPTV solution for receiving arabic satellite in the uk. It is provided by a company called Arab Tv Net (ATN).

The problem I'm having is that there appears to be very little information availabe on both iptv in the uk and ATN. So I have a few questions:

Has anyone subscribed to ATN? Can you tell me a little more about what it is and your experience so far?

Do I need a specific router/modem to receive IPTV?

Is there an altrnative to the very expensive set top box that is being sold as part of the service? In other words, can I buy a much cheaper generic IPTV set top box from elsewhere and just pay ATN the subscription fees?
