    Re: OverseaTV (TV ARABIYA)

Today i get a message on the STB BOX that Broadshift has no more money to continue their bussiness, ive paid 100$ for the stb BOX and 20$ for the hole month, i know that they are branch of ovorsea TV, it is not honest and unfair, you debit my card 2 times, they have to give money back 100$, bescause i received many emails that they will give it to me..

i sent a fax to 1866 439 4788 to ban using my credit card. you are fast to charge but no reply to their customer requests and credit our account.

.ExternalClass .EC_hmmessage P {padding:0px;} .ExternalClass EC_body.hmmessage {font-size:10pt;font-family:Tahoma;} I want to let you know that since i start watching TV ARABIYA on my TV (23rd November 2007), i never have the chance to get all my 15 channels together, you can tell me that it works with internet and it can be one day up and another day down, but no during a hole week, i want to mention that ABU DHABI SPORT is consider as a channel of the 15 channels but since 2 weeks it never works..Mainly since 3 weeks you are experiencing many problems, they didnt send any message to their customer on their website, we cant speak to anybody via their phone number and neither oversatv in US, so by minimum of respect to your customer they have to advice us whats happen exactly, and at least you have to credit the hole amount for this week and the week after if the problem will go ahead.. and now simply i received a message that they stop their bussiness..so what you will do my freind?

    Re: OverseaTV (TV ARABIYA)

We are also receiving that same message.  They couldn't have charged my credit card more than two weeks ago and now they're going to pull out on us?  I'm sure we'll never see the money for the boxes we all purchased even though they promised full refunds when we originally ordered them.  My wife, who is German is extremely upset as Oversea TV made life a lot more enjoyable for her over here.  Not to stray from the current topic, but can someone suggests some alternative ways to obtain German TV since Oversea TV has left us all out to dry???

    Re: OverseaTV

How the hell can a company like this be allowed to drop their customers the way ShiftTV has done.

They should have at least given people several months notification instead of keep taking money from new subscribers....this is :-(!?:-(@*(  illegal.

I was being charged 29.95 a month for German television....bloody bastards. now I find out that they should've charged me 19.95.

    this is totaly unethical!!!

Is VUTV.TV a reliable source or are they also part of the OverseaTV debacle?

    Re: OverseaTV

We have also been paying $29.95 for at least 1 year.  We should have been paying $19.95 this whole time?  Wow, have we been duped.  Does anyone have experience with the vu.tv?  If so, your opinions?

    Re: OverseaTV (TV ARABIYA)

It seems, according to one of the posts from leo's link above, that some people might be getting their money back for their box.  Has anyone else tried this yet and were you successful?

    Re: OverseaTV (TV ARABIYA)

I just spoke with Abraham from VUTV and he informed me...and this might be old news to some...that Broadshift has been taken over by another company and that they (VUTV/Oversea TV I presume...since they are apparently one in the same) are currently negotiating with this new company so that they can continue providing us with German television (and for some reason he knew I was calling in regards to the German programing..are other programs not be affected by this???).  He asked for my phone number and said that he hopes to call me with the details tomorrow.  I also asked him if my current box will work and he said he "thinks it will."  I hope he follows through with his phone call.  On a side note, I found it funny that he answered the phone by just saying "hello" like he was answering his own home phone.

    Re: OverseaTV (TV ARABIYA)

Is poke yesterday to the same person, what's strange taht their voice box is full, he called me from a strange number 1 832 519 0014   after sending my email, he told that i can use my STB BOX but they have to make some update and for that i have to send it to them (20$ for shipping and pay 50$ for update and after they will send it back to me), so i will pay about 90$ (price of a new one) to get my STB BOX working with their company..its expensive because if you know, i asked a computer programmer, the only thing they have to do is changing the server adress (IP) on the STB BOX, this is too easy and they can give us the information by phone if they are honest..So my freinds pay attention before doing anything, idont want that we get the same story with oversea TV..Does anyone get his money back?
