Springfield, VA here.

I have it for a month now. I like it. Lots of HD channels. $35 for base package plus $15 for HBO channels.

HD-DVR not as good as Tivo but it will do til Tivo comes out with their HD version. Can't figure out how to get close caption yet.

Remote button not as intuitive as Tivo's or Cox's.

As for Picture and sound, its great. Never a problem but watching the recordings from the HD-DVR can be choppy sometimes.
